The Goethe Fall Festival is a terrific event for bringing Goethe families together and raising funds for the school.  Much of the burden of organizing the Festival has fallen on Goethe teachers in years past.  For the 2010 Fall Festival, FOGS is aiming to take much of this burden off the teachers -- and we need your help to make the Festival a success! 

We are looking for volunteers at various levels of committment:

Day-of-Festival Volunteers: Are you interested in committing two hours or more the day of the Festival?  We need adult volunteers to help set-up, run games and events, work the ticket booth and kitchen, and clean up after the event.  If you are interested in helping out the day of, please email Nicole Amling with your name and phone number.  We'll contact you as the Festival date approaches to determine specific times you are available. 

Festival Coordinator Volunteers: Do you have an hour per week to help make the Festival a hit?  We're looking for people to fill the following coordinator positions.  Please contact Matt Johnson to volunteer or learn more. 

• Activity Coordinator: Determines what activities will take place (hair beading? face painting? dunk tank?), coordinates equipment rental (if any), set-up, timing, troubleshooting during the Festival.  Needs to work with the Game and Competition Coordinators to deterimine where set-up will be.
• Competition Coordinator: Determines what competitions will take place (basketball tournament? tricyle race? football throw?), writing up rules, publicity, timing, sign-up of contestants, organizes judging, prizes, troubleshooting.  Needs to work with the Game and Activity Coordinators to determine where set-up will be.
• Prize Coordinator: Determines what and how many prizes to order, places order for prizes, prepares prizes for distribution at Festival, coordinates prize room (if used), troubleshoots prize distribution during Festival, prepares follow-up report on how many prizes were used and what the popular/unpopular prizes were.
• Food Coordinator: Determines what types of food will be offered, coordinates food vendors, troubleshoots food operations during the Festival, arranges for donations of unused food, prepares follow-up report on what worked and didn't work in the food operations.
• Ticket Sales Coordinator: Arranges printing or purchasing of tickets, publicity for pre-sales of tickets, and ticket sales during the Festival.

Any other level of Pre-Festival commitment?
