Friends of Goethe School is kicking-off our first ever fundraising drive and we are calling on all Goethe families to pitch in. You have probably heard about the financial crisis that the state of Illinois and Chicago Public Schools are facing. The Goethe staff and community are determined to not let these financial challenges set us back in pursuing our vision of academic excellence, but we need your help.
Goethe is slated to start the next school year short by $21,000 and if we don't raise these funds, three excellent teachers will lose their jobs and class sizes will increase. Maintaining a low student-teacher ratio is the foundation of Goethe's strong academic record. All of our children will suffer if we are forced to lay off teachers next year.
We are asking all families to give as generously as they can to save these teachers and keep class size low. Please donate by August 15. Make your check payable to Friends of Goethe School. Donations are fully tax deductible. Download a response card to send in with your donation:
